Flagg was an American Leather educator, lecturer, and writer best known for his work on psychological dominance, authority, and consensual power exchange. Although he published relatively little during his lifetime, he became widely respected within the Leather community through workshops, seminars, mentoring, and direct teaching. Rather than focusing on physical BDSM techniques, Flagg developed a systematic philosophy of psychological authority grounded in structure, communication, behavioural influence, protocol, and intentional leadership. His educational approach emphasised that effective dominance begins with clarity, consistency, and personal responsibility before any specific technique is applied. Following his death, his longtime student and collaborator Soulhuntre collected, edited, and preserved his lectures, essays, correspondence, and unpublished writings in The Forked Tongue: A Handbook for Treating People Badly (Revisited). This edition transformed Flagg's work from a largely oral teaching tradition into a permanent documentary record, ensuring that his ideas would remain accessible to future generations of Leather practitioners and researchers.
