Jack Rinella is an American Leather educator, author, lecturer, philosopher, and relationship mentor whose work has become one of the cornerstones of contemporary Master/slave and Dominant/submissive education. Active in the Leather community since 1983, Rinella combines decades of personal experience with a background in philosophy and business, approaching consensual power exchange through ethics, communication, critical thinking, and long-term relationship development rather than rigid protocol or dogmatic authority. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a Master's degree in Business Administration. A founding member of MAsT-Chicago (Masters and slaves Together), an associate member of the Chicago Hellfire Club, and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Leather Leadership Conference, Rinella has played an active role in Leather education for decades. For more than seventeen years he wrote *Leather Views*, a widely read weekly column devoted to BDSM relationships, Leather culture, history, philosophy, and practical education. As a sought-after lecturer, he has presented seminars throughout the United States on BDSM history, techniques, Master/slave relationships, and Leather traditions. He is the author of numerous influential works, including *The Master's Manual*, *The Compleat Slave*, *Becoming a Slave*, *Partners in Power*, *The Toybag Guide to Clips and Clamps*, *Philosophy in the Dungeon*, *More from the Master*, and *The Dictionary of Scene-Friendly Terms*.
