Lori A. Brotto is a Canadian clinical psychologist, researcher, educator, and Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of British Columbia. Internationally recognised for her work in sexual health, sexual function, mindfulness-based therapy, and evidence-based sexology, she has become one of the leading researchers exploring human sexuality from both clinical and scientific perspectives. Throughout her career, Brotto has investigated female sexual desire, sexual pain disorders, arousal, sexual wellbeing, LGBTQ+ health, and the psychological factors that influence sexual functioning. Her research has contributed significantly to the development of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, particularly through the integration of mindfulness into the treatment of sexual concerns.
