Meg-John Barker is a British writer, academic, therapist, and one of the leading scholars in contemporary BDSM Studies, gender studies, sexuality studies, and relationship diversity. Formerly Associate Professor of Psychology at The Open University and later affiliated with Leeds Beckett University, Barker's research has helped establish consensual BDSM, consensual non-monogamy, queer identities, and relationship diversity as legitimate subjects of interdisciplinary academic inquiry.
