Farr is best known for her contribution to *Coming to Power: Writings and Graphics on Lesbian S/M*, where her essay *The Art of Discipline: Creating Erotic Dramas of Play and Power* explores the psychological, emotional, and theatrical dimensions of consensual dominance and submission. Rather than presenting discipline as punishment or coercion, Farr examines it as a collaborative process through which partners consciously create shared erotic experiences grounded in trust, negotiation, and mutual understanding. Like many members of SAMOIS, Farr combined practical community experience with thoughtful reflection, helping establish educational resources at a time when reliable information about lesbian BDSM was extremely limited.
