Art Rope is a term used to describe rope practice conducted with the primary intention of producing aesthetic or artistic value. It emphasises composition, presence, and the visible image of the tie, whether for its own sake or for photography, performance or exhibition.

The framing overlaps with Performance Rope and Photography, but is not identical: Art Rope may be practised privately with no audience beyond the partners themselves.
