Pack Gathering

Meeting of pack members, whether local or drawn from a wider network.

Pack Hierarchy

The arrangement of roles and responsibilities within a specific pack.

Pack Hunter

Primal-tradition role for a person who prefers hunt-oriented play within a pack framing.

Pack Initiation

A ceremony marking a Pup's formal welcome into a Pack.

Pack Leader

A person, whether Pup or Handler, who leads a Pack.

Pack Leadership

The recognised leadership role within a specific pack.

Pack Play

Consensual play involving multiple pack members interacting in shared primal or animal-role framings.

Pack Recognition

Formal acknowledgment by a pack that a person is recognised as belonging to it.

Pack Ritual

Recurring ceremonial practice observed by members of a pack.

Pack Whelp

Affectionate term used in some packs for a new or younger member still learning pack culture.

Paddle

A flat, rigid impact implement.

Paddling

Impact play using a paddle: a broad, rigid or semi-rigid implement.

Panther Camp

The dwelling place and social centre of a Panther Tribe.

Panther Girl

In the Gorean setting, a free woman who has withdrawn from city life to live in the northern forests, and, in community practice, an identity within Reformed Panther traditions.

Panther Hunt

In the Gorean setting, an expedition undertaken by Panther Girls for game, quarry or capture.

Panther Tribe

In Gorean community practice, an organised group of Panther Girls sharing custom, camp and leadership.

Partial Suspension

A form of suspension in which part of the body remains supported by the ground.

Patch

A cloth or leather emblem worn to indicate affiliation, role or accomplishment.

PE

Abbreviation for Power Exchange — the transfer of decision-making authority from one party to another by consent.

Pedicure

The care and grooming of the feet and toenails, often practised as part of Foot Service.

Peer Practice

The mutual, non-hierarchical practice of rope between equals.

Performance Model

A Rope Bottom whose practice is oriented toward public performance.

Performance Rope

Rope practice conducted as a public performance for an audience.

Permission

Practice of seeking and receiving explicit authorisation before performing certain actions.

The disposition of self-respect and care for one's own presentation and conduct.

Pet

A participant who adopts the persona of a companion animal within a consensual dynamic.

Pet Bed

A soft resting place designated for a Pet.

Pet Bowl

A bowl used by a Pet for water, food or ritual purposes.

Pet Headspace

The general animal-role headspace of a Pet within Petplay.

Petplay

The tradition of adopting or relating to a companion-animal persona within a consensual dynamic.

Photography

The image-making tradition through which much Japanese rope practice has been documented and shared.

Physician Caste

In the Gorean setting, the High Caste responsible for medicine and healing.

Pig Play

Animal-role practice centred on pig personas, often associated with a raw or degradation-adjacent register.

Pillory

A standing frame that secures the head and hands through fixed apertures.

Play

The general term for consensual activity within a scene.

Play Party

A private or semi-private event where negotiated scenes take place, usually in a dedicated space with agreed rules.

Play Space

A room or venue configured for BDSM play.

Playfulness

A Human Pony whose role emphasises companionship, sensuality or ornamental presence rather than working tasks.

In the Gorean setting, a slave whose principal duties are of an intimate nature.

Polishing

Bondage constructed so that the bound person must choose between competing discomforts.

Preparation Ritual

A ritual undertaken in preparation for a scene, ceremony or significant occasion.

Presence

The quality of self one brings to a room, a scene or a dynamic, treated as significant across many Lifestyle traditions.

Presentation

The manner in which a person appears and comports themselves according to negotiated standards.

Public Play

Play conducted in a shared space in the presence of others.

Punishment

A specific consequence applied in response to an agreed transgression within a dynamic.

Pup

A participant who adopts a canine persona within Puppy Play or related traditions.

Pup Hood

A hood designed to evoke a canine head, worn by a Pup in Puppy Play.

Pup Mask

A partial-face mask evoking a canine muzzle, worn as a lighter alternative to a full Pup Hood.

Pup Mitts

Mitts that immobilise the hands into a paw-like shape.

Pup Tail

A tail worn by a Pup, attached by belt, harness or plug.

Puppy Gear

The material equipment associated with Puppy Play, including hoods, mitts, tails and related items.

Puppy Headspace

The animal-role headspace specific to Pups within Puppy Play.

Puppy Mosh

A gathering in which Pups play together in a shared space, typically supervised by Handlers.
