Pack Etiquette
The shared expectations governing conduct within a Pack.
Definition
Pack Etiquette covers the customs, courtesies and expectations that shape behaviour within a Pack: greeting rituals, deference to seniority where relevant, care of new members, respect for gear, conduct at events and how conflict is raised and resolved. Etiquette may be explicit or transmitted informally.
Historical background
Distinctive etiquettes emerged as Packs took shape and began hosting regular gatherings, contests and moshes.
Discussion
Etiquette varies from Pack to Pack. Newcomers are commonly advised to observe before adopting behaviour and to ask when uncertain.
