The Lexicon

The Lexicon preserves the language of the Lifestyle — its words, concepts and traditions. It records meaning; it never prescribes practice. Where usage varies between Houses or lineages, each is set down with equal respect.

Practices

Predicament Bondage

Bondage constructed so that the bound person must choose between competing discomforts.

Definition

Predicament bondage arranges the bound person's position so that relief from one sensation increases another — for example, sustaining an uncomfortable posture to avoid a more intense stimulus. The practice is as much psychological as physical.

Discussion

This practice generally requires advanced education, informed consent, appropriate risk awareness and should not be approached without adequate knowledge and preparation.
