The Lexicon

The Lexicon preserves the language of the Lifestyle — its words, concepts and traditions. It records meaning; it never prescribes practice. Where usage varies between Houses or lineages, each is set down with equal respect.

Practices

Mummification

Full-body encasement, typically in plastic wrap, tape or bandages.

Definition

Mummification is the practice of encasing the body — often entirely, sometimes leaving airways free — in materials such as plastic wrap, self-adhesive bandage or tape. It produces immobilisation, sensory alteration and pronounced temperature effects.

Discussion

This practice generally requires advanced education, informed consent, appropriate risk awareness and should not be approached without adequate knowledge and preparation.
