Rope Culture describes the human context in which rope is taught, discussed, performed and lived. It includes shared vocabulary, common courtesies, aesthetic sensibilities, respected teachers, recurrent events, and the ethical conversations that a community holds about its own practice.

Rope Culture is not monolithic; regional, lineage-based and stylistic differences produce many overlapping rope cultures rather than a single global one.
