Assignment is the act by which a person is formally placed as a kajira or kajirus within a specific household or under a specific authority. The act may be accompanied by a ceremony, and may involve the giving of a collar, a household name or a Home Stone. Assignment is a common feature of both Book and Reformed Gorean practice, adapted to the circumstances of each household.
