Codes, in the Gorean setting, are the traditional standards of conduct governing a caste. The Codes of the Warriors are the best known and are associated with themes of honour, loyalty, courage and the defence of the Home Stone. Other castes are understood in the novels to have their own codes proper to their calling.

In community practice, the Codes are often invoked as guides to conduct within Gorean households and groups, adapted to modern circumstances.
