The Lexicon

The Lexicon preserves the language of the Lifestyle — its words, concepts and traditions. It records meaning; it never prescribes practice. Where usage varies between Houses or lineages, each is set down with equal respect.

Practices

Flow

The continuous, unbroken quality of movement between and within ties.

Definition

Flow refers to the seamless quality of a rope scene in which movement, tension and attention move together without unnecessary interruption. It is a widely valued quality in both practice and performance.

Discussion

Flow is not the same as speed; a slow scene can flow, and a fast scene can be broken.
