The Lexicon

The Lexicon preserves the language of the Lifestyle — its words, concepts and traditions. It records meaning; it never prescribes practice. Where usage varies between Houses or lineages, each is set down with equal respect.

Practices

Ice Play

The use of ice or intensely cold objects as a source of sensation.

Definition

Ice play is a form of temperature play using ice or comparably cold objects against the skin. Sensations include sharp cold, aching, numbing and the contrast that follows removal.

Discussion

Prolonged contact with a single area can cause tissue damage; widely accepted practice keeps ice moving and time-limited.
