Lesbian Dominance describes consensual authority dynamics between women, in which one woman holds the leading role. LezDom encompasses casual scene practice, ongoing dynamics and lifestyle relationships, and forms a distinct thread within the broader consensual authority communities. It carries its own history, spaces, mentorship traditions and vocabulary.

Women-only leather and consensual authority communities have organised gatherings, contests and mentorship networks since at least the late twentieth century, contributing distinct cultural and institutional traditions to the wider Leather and Lifestyle communities.

LezDom shares much vocabulary with the wider FemDom and Leather communities while also maintaining its own community-specific practices and reference points.
