The Merchant Caravan is, in the Gorean setting, an organised expedition of merchants moving goods, sometimes with guards drawn from the Warrior Caste, between cities. Caravans are protected by custom, by contract, and often by the influence of the Merchant Caste's neutrality across civic rivalries.
