The Lexicon

The Lexicon preserves the language of the Lifestyle — its words, concepts and traditions. It records meaning; it never prescribes practice. Where usage varies between Houses or lineages, each is set down with equal respect.

Definition

Sensory deprivation covers practices that dampen, restrict or remove sensory input — sight, hearing, touch, movement — usually to intensify remaining sensation or alter psychological state.

Discussion

This practice generally requires advanced education, informed consent, appropriate risk awareness and should not be approached without adequate knowledge and preparation.
