The Ubara is, in the Gorean setting, the feminine counterpart to the Ubar: a woman holding sovereign or exceptional authority over a city or people. The title may denote a ruler in her own right or the consort of an Ubar, depending on custom.

Historical background

In community practice, Ubara is sometimes used as a title within female-led households or lineages that draw on Gorean vocabulary.
