The Lexicon preserves the language of the Lifestyle — its words, concepts and traditions. It records meaning; it never prescribes practice. Where usage varies between Houses or lineages, each is set down with equal respect.

Blinkers

Panels attached to a Bridle that limit peripheral vision.

Definition

Blinkers, sometimes called blinders, are panels attached to a Pony Play Bridle that reduce peripheral vision. They are used in some driving and dressage contexts to focus the Pony's attention and are sometimes chosen for their ceremonial or sensory effect rather than practical necessity.

Historical background

The Blinker adapts equestrian gear, used selectively within Pony Play communities.

Discussion

Blinker use raises questions of orientation and safety. Many Stables advise using them only in controlled environments.
