Clowder
A community or grouping of Kittens, sometimes with their Owners, gathered for shared life or events.
Definition
A Clowder is a Kitten Play grouping — the feline counterpart to a Pack — in which Kittens share community, ritual and often gatherings. Some Clowders are close-knit families with named structure; others are informal groups of friends who share aesthetics and events.
Historical background
The Clowder term grew as Kitten Play communities sought their own vocabulary distinct from the Puppy Play Pack.
Discussion
As with Packs, Clowder structures vary. The word is used freely by some communities and rarely by others.
