The Lexicon preserves the language of the Lifestyle — its words, concepts and traditions. It records meaning; it never prescribes practice. Where usage varies between Houses or lineages, each is set down with equal respect.

Entries are listed alphabetically. Categories classify — they never determine order.
Alpha
A leadership or elder role sometimes used within Packs and other animal-role communities.
Alpha Female
In some pack, primal and FLR contexts, a woman recognised as holding a leading role within a specific group or dynamic.
Alpha Primal
Primal-identity descriptor for a person who takes on leading or protective roles within a pack framing.
Attendant
Household or personal role focused on providing direct assistance and presence.
Beta
A mid-tier or supporting role sometimes used within Packs and animal-role communities.
Bottom
The participant who receives the physical activity in a scene.
Brat
A submissive who plays with resistance, teasing or defiance as part of the dynamic.
Caretaker
A participant who provides the ongoing care, welfare and support of an animal-role partner.
Cart Pony
A Human Pony specialising in drawing carts and related driving work.
Companion
Person who serves in an intimate, ongoing relational role alongside a leading figure.
Consort
Partner who accompanies and supports a leading figure within a household or dynamic.
Dominant
A person who takes an authoritative, directing role in a consensual power dynamic.
Dominatrix
Traditional title for a female Dominant, historically associated with professional practice.
Domme
Common contemporary term for a female Dominant.
Dressage Pony
A Human Pony specialising in dressage-style routines emphasising precision, movement and control.
Driver
A participant who drives a Human Pony from a cart or on long reins.
Groom
A participant who attends to the care, gear and grooming of a Human Pony.
Guardian
Primal-tradition role for a person who takes a protective part within a pack, dynamic or community.
Handler
A participant who guides, cares for and shares authority with an animal-role partner.
Harness Pony
A Human Pony specialising in work performed in harness, including cart and driving work.
Head of Household
Recognised leader of a household, holding responsibility for its governance and stewardship.
House Pet
A Pet whose role is expressed as an ongoing part of a household or House.
House Steward
Trusted role responsible for the ongoing operation and standards of a household.
Human Pony
A participant who adopts an equine persona within Pony Play.
Hunted
In primal traditions, a person who takes the pursued role within hunt- or chase-oriented play.
Hunter
In primal traditions, a person who takes the pursuing role within hunt- or chase-oriented play.
Kitten
A participant who adopts a feline persona within Kitten Play or related traditions.
Lady
Traditional title of address used in some Female-Led households and formal dynamics.
Lone Wolf
Primal-tradition self-descriptor for a person who identifies with primal or wolf-like framings but does not belong to a formal pack.
Madam
Formal title of address sometimes used for a female Dominant or head of household.
Master
A person who holds recognised ongoing authority over another within a Master/slave dynamic.
Matriarch
Woman who serves as the recognised head of a household or house lineage.
Mistress
Traditional title of address for a female Dominant, used across scene, relationship and household contexts.
Omega
A supportive, nurturing or younger role sometimes used within Packs and animal-role communities.
Owner
A participant who holds a formal, ongoing role of authority and responsibility toward a Pet within a consensual dynamic.
Pack Elder
Experienced pack member whose long standing in the pack gives weight to their voice in guidance and continuity.
Pack Hunter
Primal-tradition role for a person who prefers hunt-oriented play within a pack framing.
Pack Leader
A person, whether Pup or Handler, who leads a Pack.
Pack Leadership
The recognised leadership role within a specific pack.
Pack Whelp
Affectionate term used in some packs for a new or younger member still learning pack culture.
Performance Model
A Rope Bottom whose practice is oriented toward public performance.
Personal Assistant
Service role oriented toward supporting the practical and administrative needs of a leading figure.
Pet
A participant who adopts the persona of a companion animal within a consensual dynamic.
Pleasure Pony
A Human Pony whose role emphasises companionship, sensuality or ornamental presence rather than working tasks.
Predator
Role adopted within a primal dynamic by a participant who takes the pursuing, hunting or capturing part.
Prey
Role adopted within a primal dynamic by a participant who takes the pursued, evading or captured part.
Primal Dominant
Personal identity within primal traditions describing a dominant orientation expressed through embodied and instinctive registers.
Primal submissive
Personal identity within primal traditions describing a submissive orientation expressed through embodied and instinctive registers.
Primal Switch
Personal identity within primal traditions describing a person who moves between primal dominant and primal submissive roles.
Pup
A participant who adopts a canine persona within Puppy Play or related traditions.
Rider
A participant who rides a Human Pony as part of Pony Play.
Rigger
A person who ties another in rope; the term is common in Western rope communities.
Rope Bottom
The person who receives rope in a rope scene.
Rope Partner
A person with whom one practises rope, regardless of specific role in a given scene.
Rope Top
The person who applies rope in a rope scene.
SAM
Community abbreviation for a submissive or bottom whose deliberate cheek invites correction.
Scout
Primal-tradition role for a person who takes an exploratory or forward-observing part within a pack.
Show Pony
A Human Pony whose role centres on display, presentation and formal appearance.
slave
A person who consensually accepts ongoing authority within a Master/slave dynamic.
Spotter
A person whose role is to watch a rope scene for safety and to assist if intervention is needed.
Stable Master
The senior figure of a Pony Play Stable, responsible for its direction and welfare.
Submissive
A person who consensually yields direction, decision or authority to a Dominant.
Suspension Team
A group of people who together carry out a suspension, sharing safety and technical responsibilities.
Switch
A person who takes both Dominant and submissive roles, either in different relationships or at different times within the same relationship.
Top
The participant who performs or directs a physical activity in a scene.
Trainer
A participant responsible for the structured education, conditioning or performance training of an animal-role partner.
Working Pony
A Human Pony whose role centres on task, labour or service.
